My mommy! He also goes INSANE for any soft treat, especially
cheese. Cries like he'll just DIE unless he gets to eat some!
Pet-Peeves:
Strangers. The stupid shoes that Yunn puts on me when it's cold
out. And the sweater. And the bright flash when she tries to
take pics of me.
Favorite Toy:
Anything that squeaks and the other dogs. Sometimes any bit of
garbage he finds on the ground.
Favorite Food:
The other dog's. He'll literally rush over to their kennel and
steal their food and bark at them if they get near their own
food bowl. ~crazy~
Favorite Walk:
On the bed across my Yunn's tummy.
Best Tricks:
Pedro can sing super loud when Yunn or Barry sings too.
Arrival Story:
Yunn wanted to get a playmate for Osa, and didn't want another
dog that she'd have to groom ALL the time, so she opted for this
breed because they're cute and small and at the time she didn't
have room for a medium to large dog. Yunn did a TON of research
and met 5 different breeders before she finally settled on one
and she's FANTASTIC: Jones Chihuahuas. We still visit his
breeder even after 3 years of getting him and play with her new
pups and just visit so she can see Pedro.
Bio:
Pedro CAME litter trained. Now how handy is that?! He's a real
jekyll and hyde like a lot of chihuahuas apparently. He's VERY
wary of strangers and it takes a long time for him to warm up to
them. Like months. He seems to warm up women faster. But
once he HAS warmed up to you, beware, your lap will always be
occupied and you'll always have to pet and scratch him. He's
SOOOOO clingy and loving once he likes you. This little guy
would loving nothing more than just sit in my lap or play with
me ALL day long. Sometimes, we'll be sitting down, and he'll
climb onto our laps, and if a hand is not petting him, he'll
roll over and over again onto the hand until you do. If we stop
petting him, he'll look up at us and nudge our hands until we
pet him again. He's also a bit of the sh*t disturber in the
house. The other two dogs could just be chilling out, or
sleeping or laying down. If he wants to play, he'll tempt them
by running around, pouncing, and then ultimately if that's not
getting him anywhere, he'll kick them with his back leg until he
gets a response. He can totally hold his own considering his
small size, but because of that, we have to keep an extra close
eye on him to make sure he doesn't get hurt. Most of my friends
who he hasn't "warmed up to yet" don't really like him, but the
ones who he has (to their surprise) now LOVE him.
